YouTube Quick Tip - Play videos in high quality
Author: willem In: tips & tricksHere’s a quick tip for playing YouTube videos in High Quality:
Simply add ‘&fmt=18‘ to the end of a video’s URL to watch the High Quality version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_PPOo36qN8&fmt=18
Embedding High Quality videos involve adding ‘&ap=%2526fmt%3D18‘ onto the end of every URL in the embeddable code:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/h_PPOo36qN8&hl=en &fs=1&ap=%2526fmt%3D18"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/h_PPOo36qN8&hl=en &fs=1&ap=%2526fmt%3D18" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Keep in mind that high quality versions of videos depend on the quality of the file that was originally uploaded.

Sure! I’ve heard that “&fmt=6″ sometimes renders high-quality videos too, so that might also be worth a try.
